Stafford, Texas – October 30, 2014
A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was recently held for their brand new 3,200 square foot Flame Control Laboratory along with enhancements to their Flow Laboratory at their Stafford, Texas manufacturing facility.
Groth Corporation is a global leader in manufacturing pressure/vacuum relief valves, flame and detonation arresters, blanket gas regulators and other low pressure relief products.
In addition to Groth Corporation staff and sales representatives from around the world, also in attendance at the Ribbon Cutting was Stafford Mayor Scarcella along with several Stafford City Councilmembers.
The laboratories will allow for enhanced capabilities to meet ever changing requirements of pressure relief & flame control solutions throughout all process industries, spanning the globe.
Enhancements to the Groth Flow Lab makes it one of the most modern low pressure, high volume flow labs in the United States. It meets ASME PTC-25 requirements and is TUV certified. It can flow air at 600,000 standard cubic feet per hour in both pressure and vacuum and can reach pressures up to 5 PSI.
The new Groth Flame Control Lab is designed to perform deflagration and burn tests per the European ATEX, Factory Mutual, and US Coast Guard test standards. The lab has the capability to test with various gases, including Methane, Propane, Ethylene and others.
“The new laboratories will elevate our strategic new product development efforts and continue to provide support to our current product lines.” – Steven Breid, Vice President of Sales & Marketing
